Community Spirit and A Commitment to Work
Members of VH participate in the operation of the building and community. This means all members must perform work each calendar quarter that contributes to each household's "points" (a system that assures everyone pitches in). Much of the work is collective and social and includes potluck dinners and membership meetings in our community room and courtyard.
If you are a member of VH, you will probably know everyone's name. But your level of engagement is mostly up to you. In selecting members, we seek people who have a sense of community spirit.
